Changing bitmap images to vectors.

I'll revise this post sometime during this next week, to post a couple samples — but for now... (as of 4/17/08, still haven't updated this post... but still plan to, hopefully soon.)

http://vectormagic.com — A promising online bitmaps-to-vectors tool. Upload a jpeg file of a logo or photo, then the site will turn it into a vector file, which can be downloaded and opened in Illustrator. Downloading the finished vector file does cost a bit (though you can try the service and see the results for free — and you can also download an "adjusted" bitmap version for free).
      Illustrator itself CAN vectorize bitmap images, but this site seems to produce much better results. Check-back to this ut-artists blog with-in a week for some samples.
